How Child Sponsorship Works

Learn how child sponsorship works at Blessing Foundation.

Child sponsorship works by meeting a child's spiritual, physical, educational and emotional needs. Through monthly sponsorship, sponsors equip local church centers in impoverished communities to deliver healthcare, schooling supplies, and nutritional care.

Sponsoring a child costs $38 per month (or equivalent in TZS). Your contribution goes directly to support education, healthcare, nutrition, and holistic care for your sponsored child.

Your monthly gift is combined with other sponsors' gifts to provide medical checkups, school fees, uniforms, textbooks, nutritious meals, and clean water access for the child.

Yes, Blessing Foundation is a registered charitable organization. All donations and sponsorship payments are eligible for tax deductibility where applicable.

A Blessing Child is a vulnerable child registered in our sponsorship program receiving direct educational, medical, and social support through our community centers.

You can pause or cancel your sponsorship at any time by contacting our support team via phone at +255 757 037 518 or email at Info@blessingdf.or.tz.

We ensure no child is dropped from our care program. If a sponsor cancels, we immediately match the child with another sponsor while continuing their support uninterrupted.

Child sponsorship generally lasts until the child completes secondary school or vocational training, usually around age 18 to 22.

Yes! Our primary centers are located in Mwanza, Lake Victoria Zone, and across Tanzania.

Anyone 18 years or older can sponsor a child directly. Families, church groups, and school classes can also sponsor together.

Yes. Each child is paired with one individual or family sponsor to foster a personal and meaningful relationship.

Communicating With the Child You Sponsor

You can write letters or send messages online through your sponsor portal or physical mail. Our local field staff translate and hand-deliver your letters to your child.

Yes! You will receive hand-written letters and drawings from your child at least two to three times a year.

We ask sponsors to keep letters encouraging and respectful. Please avoid sharing home addresses, financial details, or confidential photos.

Yes! We coordinate supervised sponsor visits to our Mwanza and Lake Zone centers so you can meet your sponsored child and family in person.

You can send small flat gifts like letters, stickers, and photos inside cards. For larger gifts, you can contribute to our Gift Catalog.
